Working with Chalk and Milk paint.

Over the years I have worked with a lot of paint but I am in love with Annie Sloan Chalk paint and Miss Mustard Seed Milk paint. Nothing works better on furniture. It is so easy to work with and no sandy or prep work and the finish is so beautiful.  Here are a few pieces I did this week.

I picked up this hutch from a second hand store and it was in great shape but it was a monster to paint. I used Annie Sloane Graphite with a couple a coats of clear wax for durability and this is what you get.

I think it turn out so cute.  If I had the room I just might keep it.  It would look great in a kitchen or dinning room.

This piece I painted with milk paint.  I love using milk paint!  If you have never used it before it chips in random places and makes a piece look old.  One of my favorite colors is kitchen scale and then I use the
antique wax to finish it.

This would be so cute as a make-up desk in a bedroom, in an entry way to drop your mail and keys or in a bathroom.

This piece Jeff made.  I love this Hall Tree because it's just the right size to fit in any entry way to keep all those mittens and hats tucked away.
The bench lifts up the tuck things away and it has three hooks to hang extra coats.
